Guidelines for the Journey to Colorado National Monument Park
Driving Westbound on Highway I-70
Embark on an exciting journey towards Colorado National Monument Park by heading west on Highway I-70. As you approach Grand Junction, look out for Exit 31, also known as Horizon Drive. Make your way through the stunning cityscape of Grand Junction, keeping an eye out for the signs guiding you to the east entrance of the park. Once you've reached the east entrance, you're just 19 miles away from the visitor center and the campground, promising a rewarding end to your journey.
Driving Eastbound on Highway I-70
If you're travelling east on Highway I-70, your route to Colorado National Monument Park will be slightly different. You'll need to take Exit 19, which leads to the charming town of Fruita. From there, turn south onto Highway 340, which will take you directly to the west entrance of the park. This entrance is a mere three miles from Fruita, making it a quick and easy journey. The visitor center and campground are nestled just four miles up from the west entrance, waiting to welcome you to your adventure.
